COVID-19 continues to keep the majority of us stuck inside, and we all continue to face difficulties with work / life balance.

We’ve spent some more time searching for information that we hope you can benefit from or, at the very least, put a smile on your face.

Make Some Mid-May Headway

Mean, Lean, Quarantine Bod

It’s time to move that bulk order of sunscreen on Amazon from your cart…to checkout. You know what? Why don’t you go ahead and double that order. You’re going to need all of the sunscreen you can get as we make it your personal goal to not have a sleeve or pant leg touch even an inch of your body until Labor Day. With this list of over 25 free fitness classes, it’s going to be a summer full of ‘uns. Suns, guns, buns, and fun puns are all out, starting now!

Break Away From Take Away

Most of us have been cooking at home since the inception of this quarantine, so at first glance this might seem like a pretty dim idea. Think again fellow home chefs! What this really is is a chance to break away from your comfort zone. Use this list of the 11 best cooking channels on YouTube to light a fire under your rump roast and find someone new to learn from. Every meatloaf has a voice, and they don’t all sound like Marvin Lee Aday.

Pardon Me, Is That A Garden I See?

Ok, to be fair that was a pretty lame rhyme but we wanted to keep the streak going. To wrap up our Mid-May headway section we have this article on how to start your first indoor garden. Think of all of the herbs you can grow, all of the oxygen you can create, all of the succulents you can neglect, ahh the possibilities. With this guide, even the laziest gardener should be able to grow enough mint to at least ensure a summer where you can get your mojito on without having to make any last-minute grocery runs.

Fun Stuff To Keep You Sane

That’s right folks. Sporcle. The great humbler of websites. Sporcle is the world’s largest trivia website and has been racking our brains since 2007. There are literally over a million puzzles on this site so here are some classics to get your feet wet. Find the US States – deceivingly difficult. Corporate logos – there’s 8 versions of this quiz, but there will only ever be 1 Taco Bell. And finally, the iconic “Beatles or Rebecca Black”. The quiz in which you have to determine if a lyric snippit is from The Beatles ‘A Day in the Life’ or Rebecca Black’s ‘Friday’. Yeh, it’s not as easy as it sounds.

Give Netflix a break this week and give a podcast a try. Podcasts are like Netflix series made for the ham radio, so it’s basically the same thing anyway. As always, we got you covered with some starting points. Radiolab – all around interesting stuff. 30 for 30 – sports! Serial – a true story, a murder, a mystery. Philosophize This – philosophy sans jargon. Comedy Bang Bang – a sad tale about forlorn lovers…jk, it’s a comedy podcast.

Panda Cam

To quote the great Confucius: “We have two lives, and the second begins when we realize there is a Panda Cam.” Here is that Panda Cam, and here is our formal apology for not discovering this cam 8 weeks earlier.

For Business Owners & Managers

No Storefront? No Problem.

Here is a quick guide on how to create a business listing even if you don’t have a physical storefront. It’s easy, it’s free, and it’s a no-brainer if you haven’t done this already.

Returning To The Workplace – Considerations

It may not be time to return to the workplace just yet, but when that time comes it will be useful to take this information into consideration. Unfortunately, returning to the office won’t be “business as usual”, so setting expectations and proactive planning is a must for businesses of all sizes.

A Week Of Webinars

Webinars are more popular than ever and there’s no reason to not take advantage of them. Granted they can be hard to fit in your schedule as many of them run smack in the middle of the work day. Well, allow us to present to you – a fantastic list of both live AND recorded webinars for you to browse in your leisure time.
