About

David Taylor Digital re-designed and re-developed their entire website with simplicity and navigation in mind. This included changes to both the front-end and back-end of the new website.

Glass Flooring Systems – Responsive View

Challenge

Glass Flooring System’s website didn’t properly showcase their products, materials, and overall capabilities. The average user couldn’t determine what GFS offered “at a glance” upon landing on their website. This resulted in a major opportunity loss for their business as they were averaging over 1,500 users a month – and over 75% of these users left the website after only viewing a single page.

Solution

We re-designed their entire website with simplicity and navigation in mind. For the homepage, we addressed the question of “Who Is Glass Flooring Systems?” head on with a full width image slider and a call to action that is impossible to miss. We also developed and simplified the back-end user interface of the site so employees at GFS could easily update the press page and photo gallery to showcase their newest, most exciting projects, without needing a web programmer.

Results

Results following the launch of their new site

The number of users who visited the site and then immediately left decreased by 19% (bounce rate)

Conclusion

Listen to user feedback and do some digging into your website analytics to find trends like the one above. A new website design or even smaller tweaks to key pages can go a long way in increasing your bottom line.
